NEW! Advanced Class Rep Training

Advanced Class Rep Training is designed for returning or experienced reps who have previously completed NStEP’s Introductory Class Rep Training.  This module was developed by four of NStEP’s student trainers who draw from their own broad experiences of student engagement in a variety of contexts.  This training explores how to navigate challenges, and the application of leadership, communication, partnership, and succession strategy approaches to the role.  Participants will be issued with a digital badge upon completion.

Representing Diversity Training

Class reps, and students more broadly involved in representing their peers, have a crucial role in ensuring that higher education is an inclusive and welcoming place, where every voice is heard and every student can become involved in shaping their learning experience.  This training introduces tools and resources that will help students effectively represent their diverse classmates and empower fellow students from all backgrounds and lived experiences to get involved in student engagement in decision-making.  A NStEP award is issued as a digital badge to those completing this module.

Introductory Class Rep Trianing

Introductory Class Rep Training ‘open sessions’ will be offered by NStEP towards the close of each semester for those who may have been unable to participate in this training organised for reps at their institution/students’ union.
