As the current NStEP Strategy 2022 – 2025 comes to the end of its lifecycle, on 2nd October the National Student Engagement Programme invited students and staff from across the Irish higher education sector to a Strategy Consulation Day in the Ashling Hotel to inform and shape the development of a new programme strategy.
Attendees were guided through a number of group discussions and exercises designed to:
- critically reflect on the current NStEP Strategy priorities and its key performance indicators,
- develop an understanding ofthe current higher education landscape for today’s students and the issues they are facing,
- prioritise actions and areas of consideration for NStEP, and consider what the next NStEP Strategy priorities may be.
The day was filled with lively discussions surrounding the future of student engagement and reflecting on current practices, which can be seen in the gallery below. The notes and results of these conversations are being collated and analysed, and will shape the upcoming NStEP Strategy 2026 – 2029.
NStEP would like to offer its sincere thanks to all students and staff who attended the Strategy Consultation Day and shared their time and insights.
