NStEP are delighted to share details for the next National Student Engagement Network event! Each network event provides a chance for student representatives and staff to consider some of the big topics in student engagement.
The National Student Engagement Network – supported by the NStEP partners in the HEA, QQI, and USI – brings together student representatives and staff from across roles and remits in our participating institutions. It provides a chance to share practice, discuss challenges, learn new student engagement ideas, and shape the direction of NStEP itself.
The next Network event takes place in the Maynooth University. Thank you to the teams at Maynooth University and MSU for their support in organising this exciting opportunity to bring students and staff from across the Irish higher education sector together again.
Our theme for the event is “From Participation to Partnership: Enhancing Student Engagement in Higher Education”. Attendees will hear from speakers on the importance of engaging students as co-creators and decision-makers in academic and institutional planning, developing engagement strategies that are sustainable and adaptable over time, bridging the gap between students and staff through collaborative projects and mutual learning, and ensuring that all students, especially those from marginalised groups, have opportunities to influence their educational experience.
Full event programme will be issued in due course.
Registration is now open for all student representatives and staff from our 28 participating institutions, listed here.
Are you or your institution making strides in student engagement? Would you like to share your amazing work and progress with our attendees? We are now accepting abstracts for presentations at our event. Please do consider making a submission, as we want a wide range of presentations and topics to enable a fully diverse and engaging event in May!
